Rainbow Senders - LGBTQ+ Night and Resources

Welcome Rainbow Senders! This group is for LGTBQ+ folx and allies of all ages and climbing experience levels to find community and expand their climbing skills.

These events take place monthly:

  • 1st Friday of the month
  • 6 pm - 9 pm
  • Midtown gym
  • Entry is $14 and includes gear

If it’s your first time with us, please fill out a waiver and we will get you set up with gear and an introductory orientation.

When you arrive, look for the Rainbow Senders' table behind the check-in desk with the rainbow rug!  There are pronoun pins available and often, a group activity is available if you choose to participate. The leaders of the Rainbow Senders will be available to help you get started if it’s your first time and/or be your climbing partner if you wish.

Rainbow Senders are now receiving donations from a very kind community member! With these funds, they can sponsor one member of the community for a one-month membership.  If you or someone you know needs financial assistance to be able to climb, please email them the name and contact info.  They will be randomly selecting folks from their list each month as long as they are funded. It is their deepest desire to help all folks have access to climbing!  They are also accepting donations to continue to grow their sponsorship programs!

TransSenders is a gathering that takes place on the 3rd Sunday of every month and is organized after hours specifically for trans and non-binary folx.  Click here for more information on participation. This event is held outside of Stone Age’s regular business hours in order to provide a safe space for folx to try their hands at climbing. Folx of all ages and experience levels are welcome!
